Time goes so fast. Already its time to start saying farewell to the puppies.

“Winston Dono of The Kakapo Nest” was the first to leave.
This morning his proud owners, already for year’s wonderful friends of mine, came and picked him up. We dank a few cups of coffee and talked a lot about all the things they needed to know about keeping and feeding their little gem. Then they helped me take some nice photos of each puppy for the pups own page…. And then it was time for them to leave and again, just like the last 3 litters, I was hit by the fact that it was time for goodbyes.
Its going to de a difficult week as every few days a puppy leaves to his/her new home. But all are going to lovely homes and that softens their leaving. And I'm hoping the slow out flow of Zanna's puppies will also soften the "loss" for her.

Dono’s last meal from Zanna. Too cute how he can sit on his bum real comfortable to drink his “goodbye dessert”.


Dono laying close to his new big sister Luna. She is a real bossy lady but Im sure Dono will give her all the room she needs to get used to him. Luna is amazingly nice to the pups considering she doesn’t think pups are fun at all LOL. In short time she’ll probably be protecting him from the big bad world ;-)


Already I find myself thinking "wheres the last one?" when I count the pups.
