Well the hot weather has gotten to my computer and it is now no longer working..... Life is so strange without a computer :-)

So I now take the time at work to use their computer and appoligise that I can not update regulaar till my computer has been given the breath of life. I sure hope my computer guru can fix it......

Dogs are doing great. Yesterday was the first day that I could take both Lagotti girls to agility. Zanna had her second lesson in the beginners class. She did very well.

And for Tieka it was her first lesson as she was in season during the official first lesson. She hasnt been to a agility class in ages, last seasons classes she had to miss as she had her litter. But she hadnt forgotten anything and did really great!! Only problem is that she is in a class of big dogs so has to jump really high. This didnt seem to bother her at all and she really enjoyed herself. She dropped a few poles from the jumping thingies, but so did the big dogs.

The big difference between Zanna and Tieka is that Zanna loves to work for food and Tieka for a tennis ball. Tieka dosnt work harder for food. She is a slave for a tennis ball ROFL.

What kind of weather is this?????

A heat wave????

Yes it is!

And do we like this wonderful hot weather????

No we don’t!!!

Zanna had such a thick coat that I had to totally shave her so she could survive. Bit of a shame cos she is so much cuter with long curls. Now she is a happy “leggy” girl. I always have to laugh when they have short coats. Their legs seem so much longer.

Tieka has a half long coat at the moment so that is ok for this weather and she is the best looking of the family at the moment. I’m glad to say that she has recovered wonderfully from her litter of pups. She lost a lot of her fur then but vets all said this was hormonal and nothing to worry about, but I never the less I did worry.

Flecha the Estrela is so wonderful with this weather. He doesn’t get funny ideas in his head to act like a typical Estrela. He stays so much more closer as its too hot to run away far. Haha, aren’t I a mean owner. I sometimes wondered if it would be a good idea to feed him lots so he would become big and fat and he wouldn’t have the energy to take off. But I guess I like him naughty so he isn’t spoilt with food and is really quite an active boy for such a large middle aged dog.

I like my work very much. But since this heat wave I LOVE my work. They have air-conditioning!!! The person who invented that should receive a medial!

So with all this warm weather I haven’t much news…. We all just lay around the house doing as little as possible. And in between the laying around we do quick necessary walks to relieve bladders and bowels and rush back home. In the mornings we actually do have a decent walk in the bush. I don’t let them swim in ponds as there are warnings of “blue algae”. Pity as a good swim would relieve them some what in this heat.
