We were wet, really, really wet...

3 hours agility in the rain…. First half with Zanna and the second half with Tieka, and we are all wet……… really, really wet….

It didn’t rain extremely hard, just a steady down pour for 3 hours, enough to make us wet…… really, really wet.

My wax coat did its dandiest to keep me dry, but after 3 hours of rain there are still plenty of wet, really wet, bits.

Did I mention the 3 hours of rain?

Got home, called Flecha from his nice dry basket so we could do the last wee and jobby round, put out the rubbish cos tomorrow is pick up day and then rubbed down the girls, jumped into my p.j’s and crawled behind the computer to share my cold and wet story.

Tieka has wisely gone to bed, its nice and warm on the water bed ;-) . Zanna is a bit more loyal and has taken place behind me in MY chair. And Flecha has crawled back into his nice basket, still nearly just as dry as he was all evening… the lucky old sod.

My bum is still cold… and the front of my legs are still cold…Why do I do these things?

Cos its fun, we really did have fun. We have a really nice bunch of classmates that make even the less enjoyable fun.

But I must admit that instead of going into the canteen for a drink after the last lesson we nearly all went home in a quick way… boy were we wet!!! Even after “only” 1 and a half hours they were wet, really. really wet.

This is Nucca in her very trendy new coat. She lives in Finland, and believe me its COLD over there!!!

Nucca, who is about 10 months, lives with Prikko who is very rightly extreemly proud of Nucca.

Cute eh!!!
I like to let you see a email a really nice doggy friend of mine sent of his dogs. The dog in the front is Joy and is in the same agility class as Zannas.

Hi Suzanne,

Here is a photo of the dogs. From left to right: Gaby, Nina, Madouc, Asti and Joy (at front).

Dont worry about the owner. There is one chair left.

Greetings

Gerard.

I have just been laughing so hard.

Laying in the lounge I have 2 large “Bia beds” and one small one for my dogs. The small one hardly ever gets used. Usually the big beds are divided by 2 dogs in one and 1 dog in the other. The second dog to join the first dog is all ways one of the Lagotti girls.

So this means that if one lagotto is lying in each large bed Flecha the Estrela has a problem. He is usually just too much of a gentleman to join them. He is so large (60kg) and he seems to realize that he may squash them if he’s not careful. The girls joining him is no problem, they only way 12kg, so if they should lay on any part of him it makes little impression on Flecha.

And now it was one of those evenings that the 2 lagotti girls had each claimed a large bed for themselves. Tieka was munching away on a bone in hers, and in the other bed Zanna was laying in a position so as to cover as much space as possible. Front and back legs totally extended. Poor Flecha wanted a bed too, but didn’t want to disturb Tieka’s eating but really wanted to sleep in a basket so it had to be the one Zanna was in.

So he stood looking at her…. Looking and looking…. But this wasn’t working so he started wining very softly to get attention. But Zanna had no intention to make room for him. She didn’t move a mucsel, kept her head flat and looked sideways at Flecha and me with her big eye (couldn’t see the other one). I was laughing and Flecha still softly wining and Zanna still not moving a muscle. But she sure gave him a look of “go away” (I put this in a polite way though I think she thought this in slightly different words LOL).

Flecha put plan C into action. He walked to the other side of the basket, maybe so as to be as far away from her head should she get mad at him(could be a first time for everything). Then he started rubbing his big head in the basket, making bigger and bigger movements, wagging his tale to show how funny he thought he was. He then started pushing the “vet bed” (as sort of fluffy blanket), that lays in the beds, in a big bindle and pushed this gently in short cheeky movements towards Zanna…. She gave up, got up and Flecha got his way and moved in.

He looks so sweet. His head is laying on the bundled up vetbed. His front legs curled up and his back legs stretched out pointing towards his nose. He maybe big but he sure is cute.

And Zanna is looking at me from the chair that she just jumped into….. Yes Zanna, it’s a hard life.
