In New Zealand you can make your own personal car registration number. Well this opportunity went totally to my head as you can see below….

I guess you can guess that Tiki is now a full member of the “dog outside group” and is getting naughtier and funnier by the day

Tiki’s frist step outside of his whelping box. As if he had already done it a thousand times before.
With each new pup we get it always seems the youngest dog I have automatically adopts this pup as their playmate making life so much easier for me.
Because Tiki is an only child he needs this playmate more than ever. Well no feeling sorry for Tiki, he has more than enough to keep him busy. Zanna plays and teaches him his lesson as she sees he is one very confident pup needing a bit of gentle putting into his place.
And then there is Rowi who absolutely adores Tiki and plays really wonderfully with him. Not too hard and not too soft. Tiki loves her!
Vaglie will look on, even come and join in a little but she really has grown up now and doesn’t really take part very much in these juvenile games.
And good old aunty Kiwi is just a gentle giant that doesn’t need to do too much with this pup since Rowi dose all the work.

Exactly 14 days old and Tiki’s eyes opened. Thought him a little slow but when they opened it was very quick!

Mama Zanna is constantly with him.
3 and a half weeks old “macho man” get a kiss from mamaMama Zanna lets him work for his food for a few moments before laying down for him.
Zanna will leave Tiki for longer periods now and the others sneak in their chance to say hi to Tiki in her absents.
But when Zanna is with him she will still softly growl to the others if they want to enter the whelping box.
She is a soft and kind mother and is not mean to the other dogs, she knows they all respect her wishes.
In a week or so I’m sure the girls will be wishing back for the “good old days” when Tiki wasn’t allowed out of his whelping box to annoy them ;-)
For now Zanna has to also act as playmate and she will carefully open her mouth and pretend to bite Tiki in the most soft and loving way. Tiki growls a little and paws at her before launching his attack and mouth her ears and nose (He hasn’t any teeth yet, but I feel them coming) He’ll roll over on his back, his 4 paws waving in the air in delight at having so much fun with his ma.
I love him too bits!!!

Tiki defiantly has the ohhhhhwwww factor

Just like his half sister Rowi Tiki loves to sleep on his back.

A week and a half old and Tiki weights 1 kilogram!!!

He is such a quite baby. Not making a nose as he makes his way through the whelping box and I find him sleeping in all different places.
But when he is drinking… boy he makes a lot of noises. Ppeeewwww ppeeeewwww pppeeewwww… peeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeewwww. Everyone of us has given up looking into the whelping box with surprise and concern, its just Tiki having his dinner and announcing he’s enjoying it.
